What brands are good for larger women (not big, just bigger)?

I'm 5'8 "and my legs are really short (I can) away with petite pants. The T-shirt dresses and I try usually to 1-2 "too short in the waist, but when I save to a high level of women are they are much too long. Plus, the next great women's store is five hours away. I noticed a few brands fit well, as NY & Co. and Van Heusen. Are there other brands, the one to be cut a little longer?
